Topic of Capricorn divides Australia, with much of Australia is closer to the equator than any part of the USA. The Australia climate sees snow, which is very rare in the southernmost capitals of Melbourne and Hobart, falling less than once every ten years, and in the other capitals it is almost absent. But the Ski lovers will find vast, well-developed ski fields in the Great Dividing Range, at just a few hours drive from Melbourne and Sydney. The later part of August is marked as the peak of the snow season, and the ski resorts become a popular destination. Moreover, New Zealand serves as an alternative skiing destination providing skiers with excellent snow and facilities at low cost.
